The Apple iPhone SE was unveiled earlier this week

In a nutshell the new phone is a smaller, cheaper device that will be sold alongside Apple's iPhone 6s and 6s Plus models.
The iPhone SE will replace the iPhone 5s - bringing Apple's 4-inch iPhone up to date with the other two 6s and 6s Plus devices.
What's the spec:
  • The 64-bit A9 chip as found in the newer iPhone models.
  • High-definition Retina display, longer battery life, 4K video, faster 4G and Wi-Fi connectivity, and Touch ID with Apple Pay.
  • M9 motion co-processor, meaning it is capable of supporting graphics-intensive mobile games.
  • A 12-megapixel camera with fast-focus technology, an Apple-designed image signal processor, advanced noise reduction and better face detection. The result will be sharper, more detailed photos.
  • Still capture Live Photos on the device - the same feature that is available on on the newer models.
Every customer who buys the iPhone SE directly from Apple will be offered free Personal Setup, in-store or online, to help them customise their iPhone by setting up email, showing them new apps from the App Store and more.
Customers in the UK will be able to pre-order the iPhone SE from today (Thursday, March 24).
